Sep 11, 2017 · Hi folks - looking for advice on the 'best' hand saw I can find. Saw will be used for cutting camp fire firewood in wilderness area (BWCAW) - tons n tons of downed trees. Ability to quickly cut 10" - 12" boles in a relatively light weight saw is ideal. I'd like to be able to touch the blade up with a small file or stone as well.

I use a PocketBoy 170 as well as a Gomboy 240 and can highly rmend the Gomboy. I've personallypared them to Fiskars, Bahco, Corona and Opinel saws and am sold on Silky Saws.

If we hire a pruning crew, they get the Coronas. 50 bucks+ for a hand saw ain't worth it untill ya run one. The folding pocketboy model is our favorite.
